Regular Season Round 10: Brose Bask. - TBB Trier 94-88

Very expected game in Bamberg where 12th ranked TBB Trier (3-7) was defeated by fourth ranked Brose Bask. (8-2) 94-88 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TBB Trier won fourth quarter 26-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brose Bask. made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American power forward Sharrod Ford (206-82, college: Clemson, agency: Pro One Sports) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Slovakian point guard Anton Gavel (189-84, agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists during the contest. Brose Bask.'s coach Chris Fleming used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Jamaican-Canadian forward Jermaine Bucknor (200-83, college: Richmond) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and international center Andreas Seiferth (209-89, agency: LUMANI 10.7) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brose Bask. have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Telekom Bsk. TBB Trier lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with seven games lost. Brose Bask. will face league's second-placed EWE Baskets in Oldenburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TBB Trier will play on the road against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#9) and hope to win that game.
