Regular Season Round 9: Lietkabelis - Juventus 94-84

Bottom-ranked Lietkabelis managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Juventus in Panevezys 94-84. The game was mostly controlled by Lietkabelis. Juventus was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietkabelis forced 22 Juventus turnovers. Nigerian forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ernestas Ezerskis (192-87) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Lietkabelis' coach Gintautas Vileita allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Juventus at the other side dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with LSU-Atletas. Lietkabelis will play against higher ranked Nevezis (#3) in Kedainiai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Juventus will play at home against LSU-Atletas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
