The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Marco Voeller (198-89) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona, agency: The House of Baller!Stars) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Hanau players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized American forward Eric Vierneisel (201-85, college: California) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Hanau have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group South leader, which they share with Dresden. Loser USC Leipzig keeps the third place with four games lost. Hanau will face Weissenhorn Youngstars (#5) on the road in the next round. USC Leipzig will play against Fraport Skyliners II in Frankfurt and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProA just one year after relegation.
