Regular Season Round 10: Craiova - ICIM Arad 54-87

Liga Nationala top team - ICIM Arad (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Craiova (1-9) 87-54. The game was mostly controlled by ICIM Arad. Craiova was better in second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ICIM Arad dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Craiova's 22. ICIM Arad forced 29 Craiova turnovers and outrebounded them 41-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Donica Cosby (172-88, college: Oklahoma City, agency: Two Points) notched 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (made all of her seven free throws) to lead the effort and the other American import guard Jence Rhoads (180-88, college: Vanderbilt) supported her with 18 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Even 18 points by swingman Irina Bors (178-88) did not help to save the game for Craiova. Forward Janina Simionca (176-84) added 12 points for lost side. Craiova's coach Daniel Vasile gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. ICIM Arad have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Craiova lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with nine games lost. ICIM Arad will play against Alexandria (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Craiova will play against Rapid (#10) in Bucuresti to get more than just one victory in their record.
