Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Izmir Eda (0-5) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Sakarya (2-3) 62-53 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 33-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sakarya forced 19 Izmir Eda turnovers and outrebounded them 51-27 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sevgi Esenler (-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and Ozgenur Gun (-91) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sakarya players scored in double figures. Sakarya's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
