Regular Season Round 10: Lietkabelis - Nevezis 77-82

Very predictable result in Panevezys where third ranked Nevezis (7-2) defeated bottom-ranked Lietkabelis (2-8) 82-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-20. But Lietkabelis won second period 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Nevezis won last quarter 19-16. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (186-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Valdas Dabkus (205-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland) added 16 points in the effort for Lietkabelis. Nevezis moved-up to second place. Lietkabelis at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Nevezis' next round opponent will be Neptunas (#8) in Klaipeda where they are favorite. Lietkabelis will play on the road against LSU-Atletas in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
