Important game to mention about took place in Trabzon. Eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (4-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 16th ranked Trabzonspor (1-7) 73-71 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Strangely Trabzonspor outrebounded Turk Telekom 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Kerem Tunceri (191-79) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 assists. Serbian guard Vuk Radivojevic (196-83) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. American-Mexican point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor's coach Hakan Demir rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Turk Telekom moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tofas. Newly promoted Trabzonspor stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Mersin and Aliaga. Turk Telekom will play against higher ranked Usak (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Trabzonspor will play against the league's leader Banvit BK (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
