It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Lawrence Roberts (206-82, college: Mississippi St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Darussafaka players scored in double figures. American point guard D.J. Thompson (173-85, college: Appalachian St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) came up with 23 points and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Hadi Dogan (200-86) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Balikesir in the defeat. Darussafaka maintains first place with 9-2 record. Balikesir at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Darussafaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul ITU Istanbul.
