Regular Season Round 10: BC Timisoara - CSU Sibiu 95-88

Very important is a road loss of third ranked CSU Sibiu (8-2) against tenth ranked BC Timisoara (5-5) on Saturday night. Visiting CSU Sibiu was defeated by BC Timisoara in a tough game in Timisoara 88-95. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 29-22. But CSU Sibiu won second period 29-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bosnian point guard Zlatko Jovanovic (181-84, agency: Beo Basket) scored 36 points (!!!) and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 23 points during the contest. At the losing side Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 30 points and 8 rebounds and Bosnian-Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) scored 23 points and 7 assists. BC Timisoara moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Pitesti and Steaua CSM. CSU Sibiu at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They share it with Oradea. BC Timisoara will play against bottom-ranked Timba Timosoara (#14) in Timisoara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CSU Sibiu will play at home against the league's leader Ploiesti (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
