Regular Season Round 10: Aistes-LSU - Utena 55-58

The most exciting game of round 10 in the LMKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Aistes-LSU (4-6) to seventh ranked Utena (2-8) 58-55 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 19-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Utena forced 28 Aistes-LSU turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Monika Aleksaite (178-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Guard Irma Raugaite (176-84) contributed with 9 points and 7 assists for the winners. International power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) added 9 points and 8 assists in the effort for Aistes-LSU. Utena moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Jaunieji Talentai. Aistes-LSU at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Utena is looking forward to face higher ranked Suduva (#3) in Marijampole in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aistes-LSU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Kibirkstis-VICI in Vilnius and is hoping to win this game.
