Regular Season Round 8: SoyuzBasket - NEMO Odessa 93-82

Higher League top team - SoyuzBasket (6-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked NEMO Odessa (3-2) in Shahtarsk 93-82. SoyuzBasket dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to NEMO Odessa's 40. They outrebounded NEMO Odessa 31-17. SoyuzBasket players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The winners were led by forward Maksym Parkhomenko (206-87) who scored that evening 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Evgeni Annenkov (186-77, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. SoyuzBasket's coach Vladimir Bryaukhavetshy used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by the former international guard Bogdan Karebin (201-78, college: Buffalo) did not help to save the game for NEMO Odessa. Guard Nikita Naiko (193-92) added 20 points for the guests. SoyuzBasket have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted SoyuzBasket maintains first position with 6-0 record. NEMO Odessa at the other side keeps the eighth place with two games lost. SoyuzBasket will play against BK Kremen (#11) in Kremenchuk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NEMO Odessa will have a break next round.
