Leader Bayern Muenchen delivered the tenth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (3-8) 106-81. The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. Mitteldeutscher BC managed to win third quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayern Muenchen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Mitteldeutscher BC's 30. They outrebounded Mitteldeutscher BC 38-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. Bayern Muenchen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) helped adding 12 points and 5 assists. Bayern Muenchen's coach Svetislav Pesic felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) responded with 21 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-89, college: USF) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Bayern Muenchen and four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bayern Muenchen. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Loser Mitteldeutscher BC dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Bayern Muenchen will meet Artland Dragons (#4) in the next round. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#8) and hope to secure a win.
