We should mention about the upset which took place in Ludwigsburg, where higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (5-6) lost at home to fourteenth ranked TBB Trier (4-7) 77-81 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back getting tie in the second period and winning the second half and won the game by 4 points. TBB Trier made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) who scored 25 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (184-87, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 15 points. TBB Trier's coach Henrik Roedl used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) produced 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four TBB Trier and five EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. TBB Trier moved-up to twelfth place. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg keeps the tenth position with six games lost. TBB Trier will face s Oliver Baskets (#17) in Wuerzburg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
