Regular Season Round 9: BK Kremen - SoyuzBasket 81-101

Higher League top team - SoyuzBasket (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked BK Kremen (1-4) in Kremenchuk 101-81. It looked good early as BK Kremen took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SoyuzBasket had a 30-7 second period charge getting the lead and BK Kremen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 81-101. SoyuzBasket dominated on the defensive end, holding BK Kremen to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to BK Kremen's 38. SoyuzBasket forced 28 BK Kremen turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. BK Kremen was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Anton Buts (201-88) stepped up and scored 14 points for the winners and swingman Anton Rozhkov (198-88) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Russian center Igor Chumichev (208-89) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and center Gleb Glebov (208-82) scored 18 points. Four BK Kremen players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for SoyuzBasket. Newly promoted SoyuzBasket maintains first place with 7-0 record. BK Kremen at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. SoyuzBasket will play against Mykolaiv-2 (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BK Kremen will play against Koksokh-Stal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
