Regular Season Round 11: Lemvig - Virum 87-67

The game with biggest result difference took place in Lemvig. Local Lemvig (7-4) outscored 8th ranked Virum (2-9) 87-67 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Lemvig led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Virum's 46. Lemvig forced 19 Virum turnovers and outrebounded them 56-23 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Raven Berry (185, college: SIU Edwardsville) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 22 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import forward Emily Hatch (185-89, college: San Diego) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Ivana Kostic (177-85) produced 19 points and Cecilie Klussmann added 8 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Virum's coach Turi Hoegh tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lemvig moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stevnsgade. Newly promoted Virum keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Lemvig will face league's second-placed Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Virum will play at home against Falcon (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
