Regular Season Round 11: Concordia - Gaz Metan 62-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Concordia's (1-10) home loss to eleventh ranked Gaz Metan (4-6) 62-89. The game was mostly controlled by Gaz Metan. Concordia was better in second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gaz Metan shot 68.9 percent from the field and made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Gaz Metan forced 25 Concordia turnovers and had a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Slavisa Bogavac (200-80, agency: BeoExcell) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Serbian forward Aleksandar Vuletic (202-86, college: Indian Hills CC) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Bogdan Stancut (198-87) added 13 points respectively for Concordia in the defeat. Gaz Metan maintains eleventh place with 4-6 record. Concordia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Timba Timis.. Gaz Metan will play against higher ranked Pitesti (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Concordia will play against Oradea and will have a slim chance for a victory.
