Regular Season Round 12: Ankara DSI Era - Maliye Milli 81-80

Sixteenth-ranked Maliye Milli (3-9) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Ankara DSI Era (8-4) on Saturday. Ankara DSI Era managed to secure only one-point victory 81-80. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 21-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Lamar Karim (178-83, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) who added 9 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Tunahan Dikmen (203-94, agency: 1x1 Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Four Maliye Milli players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ankara DSI Era moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Maliye Milli keeps the sixteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Hacettepe. Ankara DSI Era will meet league's second-placed Balikesir on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maliye Milli will play against Istanbul B.B. (#3) and hope to secure a win.
