Regular Season Round 12: Art.Dragons - B.Muenchen 79-92

An interesting game for Bayern Muenchen (11-1) which played road game in Quakenbrueck against 4th ranked Artland Dragons (8-4). First ranked Bayern Muenchen managed to get a 13-point victory 92-79. The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. Artland Dragons was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Bayern Muenchen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St., agency: Priority Sports) with 18 points and 7 assists and guard Antonio Graves (191-85, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Two Points) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Artland Dragons at the other side keep the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Ratiopharm and Telekom Bsk. Bayern Muenchen will play against SC Rasta Vechta (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Artland Dragons will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#13) and hope to get back on the winning track.
