Regular Season Round 12: Istanbul DSI - Vestel 70-83

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Vestel (7-5) defeated on the road 13th ranked Istanbul DSI (4-8) 83-70 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 30-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Vestel made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Vestel outrebounded Istanbul DSI 35-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Damier Pitts (177-89, college: Marshall, agency: Two Points) who recorded 19 points and 7 assists and Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: Alti Sport) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Vestel moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Gelism and Yesilgiresun. Newly promoted Istanbul DSI keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Vestel will face league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Istanbul DSI will play against Buyukcekmece (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
