Regular Season Round 11: Stevnsgade - Horsholm 67-56

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Horsholm (8-3) against fourth ranked Stevnsgade (7-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Horsholm was defeated by Stevnsgade in Stevnsgade 67-56. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Horsholm. It looked good early as Horsholm took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stevnsgade had a 17-8 second period charge getting the lead and Horsholm was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-67. American forward Julie Forster (183-91, college: Albany) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Iben Soltau (186-86, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Bosnian power forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and guard Emilie Schirmer (178-90) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Horsholm. Horsholm's coach Nemanja Jovanovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Stevnsgade maintains fourth place with 7-4 record, which they share with Lemvig. Horsholm at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Stevnsgade will play against Vaerlose (#8) on the road in the next round. Horsholm will play against Horsens (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
