Undefeated SISU (10-1) recorded its first loss in Kastrup on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Amager (9-2) 67-59. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of SISU. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SISU won third quarter 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SISU 36-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Amager looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Catharina Jensen (183-89) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. American power forward Keyona Bryant (186-90, college: St.Augustine) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Katrine Dyszkant (183-86) produced 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Heidi Anton (175, college: USF) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Amager maintains second place with 9-2 record behind leader SISU. Defending champion SISU still keeps top position with one game lost. Amager are looking forward to face Lemvig (#5) at home in the next round. SISU will play against Aabyhoj (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
