Regular Season Round 11: Nevezis - Neptunas 68-69

The most exciting game of round 11 in the LKL took place in Kedainiai. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked Nevezis (7-3) to eighth ranked Neptunas (4-2) 69-68 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nevezis. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-16. But Nevezis won second period 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was guard Edgaras Ulanovas (197-92) who scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Center Vytautas Sarakauskas (203-82) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Valdas Dabkus (205-84) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Tyrone Brazelton (186-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas moved-up to sixth place. Nevezis at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Neptunas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nevezis will play on the road against the league's leader Tonybet in Prienai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
