Regular Season Round 10: Crvena Zvezda - Stara Pazova 93-49

Bottom-ranked Stara Pazova (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-49 loss to fourth ranked Crvena Zvezda (8-2) in Beograd on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Crvena Zvezda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stara Pazova to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Crvena Zvezda dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Stara Pazova's 24. Crvena Zvezda forced 29 Stara Pazova turnovers and outrebounded them 42-18 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Crvena Zvezda looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international power forward Tina Jovanovic (190-91) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Aleksandra Crvendakic (188-96) chipped in 13 points and 5 steals during the contest. Four Crvena Zvezda players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Milana Kerkez (184-94) responded with 12 points and guard Bobana Filipovic (170-90) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Crvena Zvezda have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Vrbas Medela. Loser Stara Pazova still closes the standings with ten games lost. They share the position with Jagodina 2001. Crvena Zvezda will meet Spartak (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stara Pazova will play against the league's second-placed Partizan (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
