Regular Season Round 10: Mersin - Botas 56-64

Another interesting game for Botas (5-5) which played on the court of Mersin (4-6). Sixth ranked Botas won 64-56. The guests were already 15 points ahead at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 23-14 last quarter charge of Mersin cut the lead to 64-56 at the end of the game. American center Michelle Snow (196-80, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Spanish point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Matee Ajavon (170-86, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and her fellow American import center Courtney Paris (191-87, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Botas maintains sixth position with 5-5 record, which they share with Besiktas. Mersin lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Ceyhan Bld. Botas will play against higher ranked Antakya (#5) in Hatay in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Mersin will play on the road against Konak in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
