Worth to mention about the upset in a game between TiuMenas-Ezer. (10-4) and Olimpas (4-12), which took place in Plunge. 4th placed TiuMenas-Ezer. lost to fourteenth ranked Olimpas in a road game 74-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TiuMenas-Ezer.. The game was mostly controlled by Olimpas. TiuMenas-Ezer. was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olimpas forced 20 TiuMenas-Ezer. turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Evaldas Lengvinas (190-89) who scored 26 points. French forward Dainius Vaitelis (200-86) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and forward Osvaldas Macernis (200-82) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four TiuMenas-Ezer. players scored in double figures. TiuMenas-Ezer.'s coach Gwidonas Markevicius tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Olimpas moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Palanga. TiuMenas-Ezer. at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Olimpas' next round opponent will be higher ranked JAZZ-KTU (#8) in Kaunas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TiuMenas-Ezer. will play at home against Vilnius-MRU (#7) and hope to win that game.
