Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Pitesti (6-6) beat at home 11th ranked Gaz Metan (4-7) 75-58. The game was mostly controlled by Pitesti. Gaz Metan was better in third quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Pitesti won last quarter 27-12. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game, while Gaz Metan only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Gaz Metan 39-23 including 28 on the defensive glass.
