Regular Season Round 12: Virum - Falcon 46-63

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Virum (2-10) lost at home to seventh ranked Falcon (4-8) 63-46. The game was mostly controlled by Falcon. Virum was better in second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Virum to just 4 points in third quarter and to 13 points in second half. Falcon well out of reach of Virum shooting 70.6 percent from the field. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Freja Christensen (174-94) who helped to win the game recording 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and guard Sofie Vincents (174-87) who added 12 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Ivana Kostic (177-85) with 10 points and Cecilie Klussmann scored 8 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Falcon maintains seventh position with 4-8 record. Virum lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Vaerlose. Falcon will play against bottom-ranked Horsens (#10) at home in the next round. Virum will play against Aabyhoj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
