Regular Season Round 13: Vestel - Darussafaka 80-73

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Darussafaka (10-3) in Manisa on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Vestel (8-5) 80-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Darussafaka. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 29-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Vestel forced 22 Darussafaka turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Vestel players scored in double figures. Vestel's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) answered with 22 points and 6 assists and forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Darussafaka. Vestel have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Darussafaka at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Vestel is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Bandirma Kir. (#18) in Balikesir in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Darussafaka will play against Buyukcekmece (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
