The game between third ranked ChemCats Chemnitz (7-4) and fifth ranked Rhein Main Baskets (7-4) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. ChemCats Chemnitz was defeated by Rhein Main Baskets in a tough game in Langen 59-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ChemCats Chemnitz. ChemCats Chemnitz was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for American forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Alyssa Karel (172-89, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) responded with 9 points and 19 rebounds and international point guard Tina Menz (175-88) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Rhein Main Baskets moved-up to second place, which they share with Chemnitz and Halle. Rhein Main Baskets is looking forward to face Oberhausen (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ChemCats Chemnitz will play against Osnabruck (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
