Regular Season Round 12: Kirovograd - Mykolaiv-2 130-50

The game between second ranked Kirovograd (8-1) and 13th ranked Mykolaiv-2 (2-8) in Kirov on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Kirovograd outscored guests from Mykolaiv 130-50. The game without a history. Kirovograd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv-2's 24. Kirovograd forced 35 Mykolaiv-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 38-20 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Mykolaiv-2's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kirovograd made 8 blocks. The winners were led by swingman Yuriy Lokhmanchuk (197-87) who scored that evening 25 points and 4 assists and guard Stanislav Ovdeenko (191-84) supported him with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Kirovograd players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) did not help to save the game for Mykolaiv-2. Vladimir Plizhnikov added 12 points. Mykolaiv-2's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Kirovograd have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-1 record having just three points less than leader SoyuzBasket. Newly promoted Mykolaiv-2 keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
