Regular Season Round 10: BC Kyiv - SC Kryvbas 80-69

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked SC Kryvbas (4-6) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked BC Kyiv (4-6) 80-69 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Kyiv. SC Kryvbas was better in third quarter 22-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Kyiv looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International Ruslan Otverchenko (192-90, agency: Beo Basket) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian center Mladen Pantic (209-82, agency: Alti Sport) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas, agency: Alti Sport) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Four SC Kryvbas players scored in double figures. SC Kryvbas' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BC Kyiv moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated SC Kryvbas. SC Kryvbas lost fourth consecutive game. BC Kyiv will face higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#4) in Zaporozhye in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
