Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Oldenburg and 6th ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets had identical 6-5 record. This time Oldenburg used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Braunschweig 92-74 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Oldenburg. Spot Up Medien Baskets was better in second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Oldenburg won last quarter 24-8. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Spot Up Medien Baskets' 38. Center Maurice Pluskota (208-92) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Dominique Johnson (194-92) added 20 points in the effort for Spot Up Medien Baskets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oldenburg (7-5) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position in Group North. Loser Spot Up Medien Baskets keep the sixth place with six games lost. Oldenburg will face league's second-placed Hannover Tigers in Hannover in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Spot Up Medien Baskets will play at home against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#11) and hope to win that game.
