Regular Season Round 11: Azovmash - SC Kryvbas 77-63

Very predictable result in Mariupol where fifth ranked Azovmash (6-5) beat 10th ranked SC Kryvbas (4-7) 77-63. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. SC Kryvbas was better in second period 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SC Kryvbas 44-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Azovmash players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by SC Kryvbas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) accounted for 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Azovmash's coach Sergei Zavalin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Serbian center Mladen Pantic (209-82, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Nate Bowie (183-86, college: Cent.Arkansas, agency: Alti Sport) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for SC Kryvbas in the defeat. Azovmash maintains fifth place with 6-5 record, which they share with Halychyna. SC Kryvbas lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Azovmash's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Khimik in Yuzhny and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SC Kryvbas will play at home against Hoverla (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
