Date: December 20, 2013
The game with biggest result difference took place in Zaporozhye. Local Ferro-ZNTU (8-4) outscored 9th ranked BC Kyiv (4-7) 93-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Kyiv. The game without a history. Ferro-ZNTU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ferro-ZNTU had a 31-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a quality performance for American guard Anthony Marshall (190-91, college: UNLV) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee services) accounted for 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Five Ferro-ZNTU players scored in double figures. Power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91) came up with 11 points and 9 rebounds and international Vladislav Podolian (194-86) added 12 points respectively for BC Kyiv in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ferro-ZNTU. They maintain third place with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader BC Donetsk, which they share with BC Odessa. BC Kyiv at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Ferro-ZNTU will have a break next round. BC Kyiv will play at home against Halychyna (#5) and hope to win that game.
