An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Donetsk. First ranked BC Donetsk faced 4th placed BC Odessa. Host BC Donetsk (10-2) smashed guests from Odessa (8-4) 95-74. BC Odessa was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 56-33 second half run of BC Donetsk. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import power forward Marco Killingsworth (203-82, college: Indiana) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. American swingman Erik Daniels (204-82, college: Kentucky) answered with 17 points and the former international Andriy Agafonov (208-86, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points in the effort for BC Odessa. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for BC Donetsk. They maintain first place with 10-2 record. BC Odessa at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They share it with Ferro-ZNTU. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
