Very important is a road loss of third ranked CSU Sibiu (9-3) against tenth ranked Steaua CSM (6-7) on Friday night. Visiting CSU Sibiu was crushed by Steaua CSM in Bucuresti 74-53. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Steaua CSM's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-12 extending their advantage to 21 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to CSU Sibiu's 38. Steaua CSM looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St., agency: Duran International) came up with 9 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian guard Milos Bojovic (198-81, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for CSU Sibiu in the defeat. Steaua CSM moved-up to ninth place, which they share with BC Timisoara. Loser CSU Sibiu keeps the third position with three games lost. Steaua CSM will meet BC Timisoara (#9) on the road in the next round. CSU Sibiu will play against Farul Const. (#13) and hope to secure a win.
