Regular Season Round 19: Olimpas - Vilnius-MRU 80-86

There was no surprise in Plunge where 13th ranked Olimpas (5-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Vilnius-MRU (10-8) 86-80 on Friday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-11. But Olimpas won second period 24-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Olimpas 39-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Antanas Udras (203-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Dominykas Domarkas (188-92) helped adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side center Deividas Keburys (201-90) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Evaldas Lengvinas (190-89) scored 23 points. Five Vilnius-MRU and four Olimpas players scored in double figures. Vilnius-MRU moved-up to sixth place. Olimpas at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Vilnius-MRU will meet at home league's leader Mazeikiai in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Olimpas will play against Silute (#7) and hope to secure a win.
