Regular Season Round 12: Orduspor - Tarsus Bld 77-67

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Orduspor (5-7) defeated at home 13th ranked Tarsus Bld (2-10) 77-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Orduspor. Tarsus Bld was better in second period 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Orduspor dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tarsus Bld's 34. Orduspor forced 21 Tarsus Bld turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Orduspor especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Avery Warley (190-87, college: Liberty) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The other American import point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Orduspor's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Ozge Yavas (174-91) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Rana Derin (175-92) added 15 points respectively. Orduspor have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Tarsus Bld lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Orduspor will face league's second-placed Kayseri on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tarsus Bld will play against Canik Bld (#12) in Samsun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
