Regular Season Round 11: Ferro-ZNTU - DniproAzot 79-68

There was no surprise in Zaporozhye where 14th ranked DniproAzot (1-8) was defeated by third ranked Ferro-ZNTU (8-4) 79-68. It looked good early as DniproAzot took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ferro-ZNTU had a 22-7 second period charge getting the lead and DniproAzot was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-79. Ferro-ZNTU dominated on the defensive end, holding DniproAzot to just 7 points in second quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: David Lee services) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Alexander Rybalko (190-79) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Georgian Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for DniproAzot in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Ferro-ZNTU. They maintain third place with 8-4 record having just two points less than leader BC Donetsk, which they share with BC Odessa. DniproAzot at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
