The game in Adana supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Istanbul Universitesi (10-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Botas (6-7). Istanbul Universitesi smashed Botas 81-56. The game without a history. Istanbul Universitesi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Botas' 32. They outrebounded Botas 36-21 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Istanbul Universitesi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. American guard Shenise Johnson (180-90, college: Miami, FL) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Russian center Irina Osipova (196-81) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side naturalized American swingman Barbara Turner (183-84, college: Connecticut, agency: 1x1 Sports) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 16 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbul Universitesi maintains fourth place with 10-3 record. Botas at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Istanbul Universitesi will play against Konak (#11) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Botas will play at home against the league's leader Galatasaray (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
