It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Besiktas. Besiktas was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 46-41 second half run of Tofas. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international forward Evren Buker (194-85) accounted for 16 points. Croatian power forward Tomislav Ruzic (207-79, agency: XL Basketball Agency) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Australian-Dutch forward Ryan Broekhoff (201-90, college: Valparaiso, agency: Priority Sports) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Besiktas in the defeat. Besiktas' coach Ahmet Kandemir rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tofas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Besiktas and Olin Edirne. Tofas will play against bottom-ranked Aliaga (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Besiktas will play against Turk Telekom (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
