An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Akhisar. First ranked Darussafaka faced second-best Akhisar Bld. Guests from Istanbul (12-3) defeated host Akhisar Bld (9-6) 64-59. Akhisar Bld was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Akhisar Bld's 28 and made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Darrius Morrow (203-90, college: E.Carolina, agency: Three Eye Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import point guard Nic Wise (178-87, college: Arizona) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for Akhisar Bld. Akhisar Bld's coach Zafer Aktas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Darussafaka maintains first place with 12-3 record. Akhisar Bld at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Vestel. Darussafaka will play against Gelism (#4) in Izmir in the next round. Akhisar Bld will play on the road against Bandirma Kir. in Balikesir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
