Very expected game when 18th ranked Bandirma Kir. (2-13) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (6-9) 62-52 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 21-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Erdem Turetken (199-79) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Cenk Sekeroglu (203-91) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Ayberk Guleryuz (206-95) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Newly promoted Buyukcekmece maintains thirteenth place with 6-9 record. Bandirma Kir. lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Buyukcekmece will meet higher ranked Ankara DSI Era (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
