Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Tarsus Bld (2-12) was rolled over on the road by second ranked Kayseri (12-2) 82-61. The game was mostly controlled by Kayseri. Tarsus Bld was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Spanish point guard Nuria Martinez (175-84) notched 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and naturalized American LaToya Sanders (191-86, college: N.Carolina) supported her with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Kayseri players scored in double figures. Even 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by American point guard Natasha Lacy (178-85, college: UTEP, agency: Merit Management Group) did not help to save the game for Tarsus Bld. The former international forward Bahar Yapar (179-89) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kayseri have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-2 record behind leader Galatasaray, which they share with Fenerbahce. Tarsus Bld lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. Kayseri will play against Canik Bld (#12) in Samsun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tarsus Bld will play at home against Besiktas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
