An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kedainiai. Top-ranked Lietuvos rytas faced 3rd ranked Nevezis. Guests from Vilnius (8-0) defeated host Nevezis (7-6) 78-61. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Lietuvos rytas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was Colombian power forward Juan Palacios (203-85) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian power forward Stevan Jelovac (208-89, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Valdas Dabkus (205-84) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and forward Simas Buterlevicius (200-89) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Nevezis lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Lietuvos rytas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nevezis will play on the road against P.Zvaigzdes (#3) in Pasvalys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
