Regular Season Round 15: TED Ankara - Antakya 76-59

Bottom-ranked TED Ankara managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Antakya 76-59. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that TED Ankara is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. TED Ankara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for TED Ankara especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Lithuanian guard Kamile Nacickaite (180-89, college: Drexel) who led her team to a victory with 28 points and 4 assists. Nigerian swingman Mactabene Amachree (190-78) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Four TED Ankara players scored in double figures. Greek forward Evanthia Maltsi (180-78, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and American center Aneika Henry (193-86, college: Florida) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Antakya. Antakya's coach Aydin Uguz tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. TED Ankara maintains fourteenth place with 2-14 record. Antakya at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Canik Bld and Mersin. TED Ankara will play against higher ranked Canik Bld (#8) in Samsun in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Antakya will play at home against Istanbul Universitesi where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
