Regular Season Round 16: Art.Dragons - Ludwigsburg 76-82

An interesting game took place in Quakenbrueck where higher ranked Artland Dragons (10-6) were upseton its own court by tenth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (8-8) 82-76 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. EnBW Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) fired 25 points for the winners. The other American import point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to ninth place. Loser Artland Dragons keep the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Ratiopharm. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet at home league's second-placed Brose Baskets in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Artland Dragons will play against Telekom Baskets (#4) in Bonn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
