Regular Season Round 16: Istanbul DSI - Yesilgiresun 57-78

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Yesilgiresun (11-5) crushed on the road 14th ranked Istanbul DSI (5-11) 78-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Yesilgiresun led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a very good performance for American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Osman Orcun Gollu (190-77) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Yesilgiresun players scored in double figures. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84, agency: Alti Sport) replied with 15 points and forward Soner Sahin (202-84) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Istanbul DSI. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yesilgiresun have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ankara DSI Era. Newly promoted Istanbul DSI keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Yesilgiresun will face league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Istanbul DSI will play on the road against Hacettepe (#17) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
