Regular Season Round 11: Hrastnik - Crnomelj 81-86

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Hrastnik (3-8) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Crnomelj (5-6) 86-81 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-81. Hrastnik was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Crt Ristic (182-89) who scored 33 points (!!!) (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Power forward Anze Cerkovnik (200-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Center Dusan Dolinar (204-81) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Matic Babic (-90) added 25 points respectively for the hosts. Four Hrastnik players scored in double figures. Hrastnik's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Crnomelj moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hrastnik lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with eight games lost. Crnomelj will face Elektro Gorenjska (#7) in Kranj in the next round. Hrastnik will play on the road against the league's second-placed Plama Pur (#2) in Ilirska Bistrica and hope to win that game.
