Regular Season Round 19: Svendborg - SISU 78-75

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Svendborg as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Svendborg edged 6th ranked SISU at home 78-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SISU won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center William Paul (208-88, college: Arkansas Tech) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) contributed with 28 points and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Joe Benjamin (200-83, college: W.Virginia St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) added 18 points and 5 assists in the effort for SISU. Four SISU players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. SISU at the other side keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Aalborg. SISU will play next round against Vaerlose trying to get back on the winning streak. Svendborg will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Horsens IC in Horsens.
